The only pioneering community initiative in the Gulf region and the Arab world that addresses the issues of individuals of all ages who suffer and are affected by the challenges of congenital heart disease and their families, and shed light on the effects of congenital heart disease on the patient and his surroundings.
What do we do?
We are a small public benefit corporation with big ambitions. The Emirates Congenital Heart Association was established in 2019 in order to represent individuals with congenital heart defects and to improve the quality of life for them and their families. How to live with the disease and provide support to them and their families, as well as to spread and raise public awareness in the community about congenital heart disease, reduce health differences in congenital heart disease, and educate the community about congenital heart disease as a lifelong disease. (It is a complex chronic disease that requires lifelong treatment.)
We also monitor life-saving research, provide reliable and evidence-based information, and advocate for the needs of affected families and individuals with congenital heart disease.
We believe that changing the health of just one child can provide hope for the entire family and community.

What are our motives:
Life is precious. We believe that anyone born with congenital heart disease deserves a full, healthy life free from physical limitations. Congenital heart disease is the most common defect among newborns, and the incidence of malformations and congenital heart defects in the country is relatively higher than global levels, which is estimated at 10 per 1,000 newborns. Congenital heart disease is the single largest cause of death for children under the age of one in Country.
